This Saturday marks American pastor Saeed Abedini’s third torturous year imprisoned in Iran.
Saeed’s charges amount to nothing more than being a devout Christian for which he is regularly beaten. Also imprisoned in Iran are three other Americans: a former Marine, Amir Hekmati, who was vacationing with his family in Tehran, and two journalists, Jason Rezaian of the Washington Press and Robert Levinson of the Associated Press.
Meanwhile back home, in these Unsighted States of America, self-centered Americans ignore the four who stand for us all. Together these imprisoned men embody our most basic first amendment liberties and our right to defend them, yet citizens rally around a president and presidential candidates who support a 150 billion dollar deal with the monsters who hold them captive.
How can any true “American” (let alone any “Christian”) support such a deal or its dealers? How can we call ourselves the “United” States of America when we willfully sign a deal that divides us from our brothers? Our President and his administration have ignored these freedom fighters and left them and their families to suffer. “All” of our top leaders have stood “for none” of these American men, yet each “one” of them stand “for all” of us.
Please join us in prayer for Pastor Saeed, persecuted Christians throughout our world, and these two journalists and one former Marine: Saturday night, September 26 @ 6:30PM @ The Gathering: 22427 Norwalk Blvd., Hawaiian Gardens 562.429.2397 facebook.comthegatheringchurch1
Please pray for these forgotten Americans and pray for America, that her people would live and vote like patriots and not like parrots that simply repeat and support the rhetoric of deceitful schemers who are not “All for one, and one for all”, but are all out for themselves.
